3M™ Dual Lock™ SJ457 Low Profile reclosable fastener is thinner and more flexible than the other reclosable fasteners. SJ4570 is backed with 3M™ 300 LSE laminating adhesive, giving it an excellent bond to substrates including polypropylene, polyethylene, metal, finished wood, and many others. The 600 per square inch mushroom heads snap together to create a bond multiple times strong than hook and loop fasteners. - Please note: More stems does not equal more holding power. The strongest functional hold is 250 to 400 (For example SJ3560 to SJ3561).
Application Ideas Include: Dual Lock Low Profile SJ4570 can be used in POP (point-of-purchase) and also attaches ceiling tiles, carpet, seat cushions, trade show graphics, access panels, wall panels, and small electronic devices.
SJ4570 provides a VERY tight closure with Loop materials. Cycle life for this combination is 5 or less. We have seen it used on furniture upholstery as it allows the user to stretch it over and grab, and stay - basically a 1 time hold, but it has its applications.
