Laminating sheets provide fast, tool-free protection for documents, labels, signage, and graphics. They solve the problem of moisture damage, surface abrasion, and UV exposure without requiring heat-seal equipment. These pressure-sensitive films bond quickly to paper, photos, and printed substrates. They create a clear, durable barrier suitable for office users and industrial environments needing long-term stability.
3M™ 7738fl Lexan Matte Finish Laminating 8” x 11” Sheets! No need for a machine!
These adhesive-backed, pressure sensitive sheets can be easily applied. Just remove liner, place your artwork, document or photo carefully on the adhesive and press. Trim to size and you have a laminated, protected piece. You can put another piece on the second side and voila!. Not to be used with a heat laminator.
Why Choose Laminating Sheets?
Laminating sheets offer immediate, permanent encapsulation without specialised heat laminators. The pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive delivers strong shear strength and excellent tensile stability. This preserves the integrity of documents and printed graphics exposed to handling, abrasion, or environmental conditions.
These sheets are ideal for:
• Protecting certificates, field instructions, training materials, and safety signage.
• Creating durable overlays for control panels or maintenance logs.
• Encapsulating artwork, photos, or archival materials needing a non-yellowing barrier.
• Outdoor labels requiring UV resistance and clarity.
• Rapid prototyping and small-run production where there is no need for automated lamination equipment.
Acrylic adhesives bond well to most high-surface-energy (HSE) substrates including paper, coated stock, polycarbonate, and polyester films. They also deliver reliable performance on mild low-surface-energy (LSE) plastics when proper surface preparation is used.
No need for expensive laminating equipment/machines. Not to be used with a heat laminator.
Technical Specifications
While specifications vary by product, our laminating sheets generally offer:

Application Guide
-
Prepare the surface. Ensure the document or substrate is dry, clean, and free of dust or oils. Use isopropyl alcohol on plastics or coated surfaces to improve adhesion.
-
Peel back the liner. Expose the adhesive gradually to prevent trapping air.
-
Apply with firm pressure. Start from the centre and work outward to ensure uniform contact.
-
Trim to size. Scissors or a precision blade can be used for clean edges.
-
Optional second sheet. For full encapsulation, apply a second laminating sheet to the reverse side.
-
Allow bond to build. Full adhesive strength develops over 24 hours. Avoid heavy handling during this time.
FAQs
Are laminating sheets removable?
No. These sheets use a permanent acrylic adhesive engineered for long-term bond strength. They are designed for encapsulation rather than repositioning. Will these laminating sheets stick to low-surface-energy plastics?
They will bond to many plastics. For LSE substrates such as polyethylene or polypropylene, surface preparation with alcohol or a primer is recommended. Can laminating sheets be used outdoors?
Yes. They provide good UV resistance and weather durability. For extreme outdoor conditions, speak with us about industrial-grade overlaminates.Do I need a laminating machine?
No. These are pressure-sensitive, cold-apply sheets. Simply peel, apply, and press.
