What are VELCRO® Brand Qwik Ties®?
VELCRO® Brand QWIK TIES® are pre-cut, low-profile straps designed for small, tight spots. QWIK TIES® are reusable and can be cycled several hundred times. They have a straightforward design and are made of a polyethylene hook layer that is laminated to a nylon loop. Wrap it around, fold the end back over itself, and it stays. No clips, no glue residue, no fumbling with zip tie guns.
This is an affordable cable management solution and is more of a light-duty hook and loop strap than a heavy-duty industrial fastener. The die-cut shape enables tight cinching in spots where thicker straps physically will not fit. A 3/4" Qwik Ties® slipped between packed conduit runs in a junction box, for instance, or cinched around a cluster of fiber lines where there is maybe half an inch of clearance. These thin ties are priced lower than VELCRO® Brand ONE-WRAP® Straps and are sold in a consumer-packaged version under the name VELCRO® Brand ONE-WRAP® Ties.
Qwik Ties® sizes and specifications
Tape rolls ship in four standard widths (1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1") on 25-yard continuous rolls. Die-cut straps come perforated on rolls:
- 3/4" x 5" — 180 straps per roll
- 3/4" x 6" — 150 per roll
- 3/4" x 8" — 112 per roll
- 3/4" x 12" — 75 per roll
- 1" x 8" — 112 per roll
- 1" x 12" — 75 per roll
Black is the standard stocked color. White and red are available for special order. Call us for lead times, as those do carry minimums depending on width.
Temperature range runs 0°F to 220°F. The polyester-and-nylon laminate resists moisture, which matters if you have ever had a metal cable tie rust and snap six months after installation. Qwik Ties® can be custom-imprinted on the hook side which is handy for asset tagging, identification labeling, or branded product assembly.
Qwik Ties® vs ONE-WRAP®: Which one do you actually need?
These are made by the same manufacturer, but carry a different construction and different price point. Qwik Ties® use a thinner polyethylene-based laminate while ONE-WRAP® consists of a heavier woven construction with greater holding power and a longer cycle life.
When it comes to practicality, Qwik Ties® are reasonable for low-to-medium-cycle bundling where price is a concern and loads are relatively light. If you open the strap and move it around a couple dozen times over its lifetime, it holds up well.

Thickness and durability of the material.
